Terms of Service

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Privacy Policy · End User License Agreement

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WorthyID, an offline-first password manager application, and this website, provided by Worthy Tech LLC ("Worthy Tech," "we," "us," or "our") of Wyoming, United States. By downloading, installing, or using WorthyID, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

WorthyID (version 2.0) is a cross-platform password manager built on .NET 10 and the Uno Platform. It stores encrypted credentials locally on your device using SQLite, with optional bring-your-own-cloud sync via an encrypted .widsync file. The app is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and WebAssembly. No account, subscription sync server, or network connection is required to use the core vault.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA) to use WorthyID.

4. Master Password and Vault Security

  • You are solely responsible for your master password and all data stored in your vault
  • WorthyID uses zero-knowledge encryption — we cannot recover, reset, or retrieve your master password or vault data
  • Optional quick-unlock methods (PIN, pattern, biometrics, passkeys) wrap the vault key and can self-disable after repeated failures
  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical credentials via the app's export and .widvault backup features
Important: Losing your master password results in permanent loss of vault access. Worthy Tech cannot help recover your data.

5. Optional Cloud Sync

If you enable cloud sync, you choose a .widsync file location in a folder you control (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud). Worthy Tech does not host, access, or manage this file. You are responsible for the security and availability of your chosen cloud storage account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WorthyID for unlawful purposes, to store illegal content, or to attempt to circumvent the app's security measures.

7. Security Disclaimer

WorthyID is designed with strong encryption (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512, AES-256-GCM), but no system is completely secure. You accept the inherent risks of storing sensitive information digitally, including device compromise, malware, phishing, and unauthorized physical access.

8. Purchases

If WorthyID is offered as a paid app or with in-app purchases, billing is processed through the applicable app store. Refunds are governed by the store's policies.

9. Intellectual Property

WorthyID and its software, design, and documentation are owned by Worthy Tech LLC. Your vault contents remain your property.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

WORTHYID IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORTHY TECH LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR FINANCIAL LOSS, ARISING FROM USE OF WORTHYID. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50.00.

12. Termination

You may stop using WorthyID and delete all data at any time via Settings → Delete All Data. We may discontinue the app or these Terms with reasonable notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
